Nooo, stick around and face the music.
Oh dear, that's the kind of thing I'd do. I don't suppose you can get Stain Devils out there can you? There is one for nail varnish that works very well (that I know when I spilled some on a duvet when staying at a relative's house and couldn't face telling them).
new carpet :-(

Boxtops - brilliant, I love using bleach so have scrubbed and scrubbed and it is barely noticeable, trouble is the surrounding carpet was getting cleaner and cleaner, so thought it best to stop. Bedroom stinks of bleach but I'll pretend to Mr N that I've had a cleaning session. Thanks all, and by the way my toe nails look great bright red instead of Royal Blue.

Buy a jobber's lot of bright red nail varnish and treat the rest of the carpet:)

It is a great relief that it is hardly noticeable!
