Facebook for me.
3rd choice ....or neither for me!
Twitter
I don't understand twitter, I joined and instantly had random nutters 'following' me - I hadn't even tweeted anything.

Answerbank seems OK !
Facebook, I can't understand Twitter. Not that I can understand FB much either.
I had a facebook account years ago, I have not logged on for ???
Every week now I still get so many requests that **** wants to be my friend. I've never heard of these people!!
Facebook might be the best one for starting rows with your neighbours. There have quite a few rows in the middle of my street, with one family screaming at another about Facebook comments. Perhaps it should be renamed from a 'social media' website to an 'anti-social media' one?

(BTW: I don't use either. I might be a boring internet geek but I'm not THAT sad!)
snap Jenny, Answerbank is as close to social networking as I want to go.
Buenchico - you're missing out. Have a problem with a company? Tweet about it and you get a much better response than emailing, writing, phoning.
Neither. I don't participate in either.
Mr Helmet's first wife's mother has just asked me to be her friend. Why???
I'm not on f/book much at all now.
I have a peek and if no one has mentioned me, i seem to turn off.
Would rather spend my time on AB.

I have posted this on FB and here and guess where I got most replies ? I don't understand Twitter by the way !
Twitter. I love it.

And here's a big fat raspberry for anyone who says its stupid and pointless, especially those who've never actually used it
On Twitter I follow my local police, my council, local news, BBC News, my MP, the Highways Agency, Trading Standards, Action Fraud, Virgin Media etc for updates and info relevant to me.

I use it to complain directly to companies if I have a problem with goods, services or other issues and get much better results than email, letters, phone calls.

What's not to like about it?

That's the thing HC, you can make what you want of twitter. I don't use it for any of the things you do, it's all about the comedy for me. There are so many funny, clever, interesting people out there that's I'd never have heard of or interacted with had it not been for twitter. It's often a nice little break from reality. But of course your question can only really be answered by those who never used it ;)
Twitter!!!! Can't beat it! It's so individual to you I don't understand how anyone can dislike it.
