Is it me, am I the only one? Had the flu jab 8 days ago and have felt like rat poo ever since! Not the first time I've had the annual jab, 3rd in fact, but it's the first time I have wished I'd not had it.

Hi grandpajoe sorry to hear you aren't feeling too great after flu jab,I remember last year I had my appointment made then had to delay it on doctor's orders as I had just completed an antibiotics course for chest infection and was advised to wait at least a couple of weeks,so maybe they have interacted?

I had a reaction last year but not the year before. Sis has had hers with no problem.
you've had yours early, another few days before they start here,am usually ok,depends how good the nurse or doc.are at jabs as to if get wopping bruises.tend to suffer less from the colds I get.hope you feel better soon
apart from a painful arm from the injection ive never had any reaction .
Had mine on Wednesday, normally it doesn't affect me but this time it has. Flue symptoms and upset stomach, could a stronger dose cause this I wonder?
That reminds me to book in for mine. From memory it was just a very sore arm last time.

I'm still recovering from a nasty chest infection so will see what GP says.

Deffo feel different this year but then the old lad injecting me was older than me!! In the past they have been younger! Surely that can't make a difference can it.Had a dog bite 10 days earlier with a course of antibiotics and a tetanus jab as a result. Maybe that lot has helped to make me feel bad??
Too many variables to nail it down to the jab. Hope things settle down soon.
I have never dared to have one, think I'd rather suffer from the flu.

The flu jab differs every year so past experience is no guide in respect of reactions to it.
Neti, i wouldn't. I have only had real flu twice in my life. The first time was as a teenager and i had hallucinations with it. The second time was as an adult. I was so ill that I needed to go to the loo and could only get there and back by crawling. The story about picking up the ten pound note is absolutely true.
I never bothered but now I am on my own, it would be very difficult to be so ill so I get the vac.
I only ever felt bad the first year I had the jab, since then have had no problems :)
