Can anyone suggest a nice flowering plant for the back of an herbaceous border? One that will stay upright, the bees like and is either white, yellow or blue.

They look good, Chip. I've never heard of them before. Will I need to put them in during Autumn? P.S. I have to find some first.
As you'v probably seen, there are about 3 main varietys to choose from, all are bold architectural plants, tall enough for the back of the border.
Bees go in and out like they do with foxgloves.
If they are planted in dry shade, you may get a bit of powdery mildew, some years but it won't kill em.
You should be able to pick one up in a good garden centre in a 3ltr pot.

Thank you, again Chip. I'll have a look around. I've just dug up two clumps of Yellow Meadow Rue as they just flopped about all over the place and made a mess.
