You can buy concentrated cherry juice in Holland and Barrett, but it is very expensive. I had heard that cherry juice was good for arthritis and have eaten loads of cherries, but my arthritis isn't any better. But what works for one, doesn't always work for another. I suppose it is worth a bash.
Yes, son has gout, and I get him Cherry Extract tabs, they help after a few days.
cupotee......why! oh! why! go for "cherry juice" when the medical treatment for gout is so effective?
Cherry juice sounds the sort of thing one might wish to go for, gout or no gout. Perhaps a drop of kirsch in it would improve things too :-)
if you are suffering from gout
go to your doc and ask himfor allopurinal
you will not have anymore probs
i have been taking them for a long time
no side effecs

you can eat and drink as much as u want
hope this helps

Try that and you might find yourself in the street after having his boot up your backside.

There are many drugs effective for gout....so ask his advice rather than telling him.
Would cherry brandy, the distillation of the essence of the cherries, be effective in treating it?

Thanks for the replies.

It isn't me that has gout thank goodness. A friends husband feels desperate enough to spend a lot of money on a couple of bottle of this Holland & Barrett juice. I know he has seen his GP but what ever he is taking hasn't stopped a second flare up.

I'll pass these messages on. Thanks again x
