They seem to think they can lead a double life and get away with it... not this one though!

Does it make any difference that they are 'celebrities'? The fact they work on TV doesn't automatically exempt them from being complete idiots!
This is being discussed in media. I tend to agree with hc's opinion. He wasn't wrapping under his corrie name. He was rapping under the name The Phantom and was wearing a mask. Although the subject of his raps are extremely distasteful...they are just words.
ummmm

Oh if only some others would take the same attitude regarding the use of 'just words'.
Don't compare this to politicians.

Who said anything about politicians, they are not the only ones who get accused of causing offence with 'just words'.
The 'Huffing'ton post is aptly named :-) tho in fairness it's ITV's doing. I suppose had he been playing a rapist on Coronation Street he'd have lost his job on Songs of Praise ...Or maybe CS doesn't feature rapists I can't recall
Toyah was raped (on Coronation St)
i read those just words, vile is the only way they can be described. He is more than an idiot, he would have known what he was doing, i see that he has been suspended from corrie, good.
i am concerned that early evening viewing of soaps has become so gratuitous, they are shown well before the watershed, where rape is part of their storylines. and often crimes like murder as in emmerdale recently, which to be honest really upset me. The way it was done was very disturbing, more for a later evening show.
There is no doubt the lyrics are vile - so are some of Enimen's and other rappers. I choose not to listen to it.

I still don't think he should be suspended. They're reviewing the situation on Monday, so maybe he'll be reinstated. He hasn't harmed anyone or broken the law.
though the bad words were **** out, you know what they were, printed in todays paper
i have reread the words, and quite honestly who would say such things, even on a record, i have always detested some rap music for their misogynistic view of women, foul mouthed for the most part. I know i don't have to watch, listen, just as well.
