I have four telephones in my house, all running off the 'main' socket. I also have broadband. I am thinking of replacing one of the phones, which is a cordless, with a 'two for one/ twin' type -- so I have an extra cordless phone. Will I get problems by going 'over the limit' and having five phones? It is a BT Studios 1100 Twin from Tesco. Does anyone know if this phone is reliable?

look on the bottom of the phone. it will have a ren number. the maximum you can have is 4 on a line. if you are using cordless phones it is only the value of the base plugged into the main phone line. so in theory you can have quite a few cordless but very few wired.
