Just recently, when I am writing an e-mail, the cursor, after having typed about 40 to 50 characters jumps back 15 to 20 characters. If this isn't noticed immediately it becomes very frustrating. Does anyone why this occurs and how it can be corrected?

I had this problem some time ago, and I asked the same question as you, on answerbank.
One reply I received suggested that I was catching the keyboard with my left wrist, and certainly if I make sure I avoid doing this, I can type without problems.
It is worth a try
is it a laptop? if so then yes denis is probably correct.
sometimes the area around the touch pad also seems to be over sensitive too

unfortunately you just have to be more careful - though there may be a setting on your computer for sensitivity
I had this problem with my laptop and disabling the touchpad cured it. I now use a mouse and don't have any problems!
