The eight programmes of this quiz have all been re-shot as it was impossible to win and all contestants lost All endings have been done again to give players a chance of winning. Under the new final ending rules this Saturdays couple would have won first time round , but when re-shot they won nothing instead of £22,000. They are not very happy about it.

Interesting. Is there a link to the story ?
Never seen it but the one on ITV at 5 pm is bad. You win the money you've accumulated and then 9 times out of 10 you then lose it in a twisted final round. Rubbish TV imo.
Surely a particular episode should either go by the old rules or the new rules, not get redone effectively starting in one and finishing with the other. If the BBC wanted the ending re-recorded then the contestents surely had already won whatever they won first time, and should have been able to tell the BBC that they were not interested in appearing again.

I don't believe one can complain that, if the rules hadn't been changed one would have won something, because they were changed and play went on accepting that; but if they *had* won something during the first recording under the old rules, then that should have stood.
it's entertainment. the bbc can make up the rules as they go along, or dispense with them, or anything they like, and the "contestants" have no come-back.
