JK normally enrages me, but this episode is about disfigured or deformed children and public reaction to them.

It is not mawkish or a deliberate pull at heartstrings for the tv, JK is genuine and excellent with the kids.

Makes a change to smile at the programme.
Nothing he could ever do will forgive him for what he is. Sorry.

I like the guy. His usual 'guests' leave a lot to be desired though.
lol, why on earth does he need forgiveness, what a weird comment
Who needs forgiveness?

I wasn't going to ask.... !!
I recorded it as it makes my life seem 'normal' !
I was at the Dentist and believe it or not I survived ! Why do I do lose sleep, shake with anxiety only to sit here and feel smug afterwards :/

I think JK has a genuine human touch with adults and children who have had mountains to climb.

I'm at a loss as to the 'forgive' comment also, the majority of those people actually benefit from the proverbial kick up the a*** he provides along with the after care team.
Aftercare team - yeah right.

It's cheap, car crash tv that makes a showing of the intellectually disadvantaged. Exploitative freak show for the enjoyment of those who like to feel superior.
You'd have a job feeling inferior to most of the people on that show. Having worked with some of the underclass, what they show on JK is only the tip of the iceberg!
The programme is neither informative nor entertaining - it's very similar to Victorians paying to look at the lunatics in the asylum.
Can I ask how you formed your opinion hc4361?
By watching the programme when I had relatives to stay who insisted on watching it.

For a whole week. How else could I form an opinion?
Thank you hc4361...you could have left the room however ;)

When I posted about it making my life appear normal, that's just what it does. We all have crosses to bear in daily life, i'm glad i don't feel the need to air them on TV.

I admit there's times I cringe but going back to Bbb's OP i still maintain he shows extreme compassion to children and adults who have faced and continue to face challenges in their lives.
Kyle is an odious exploitative little cretin who pretends to tell the truth as he sees it, but only with a phalange of bouncers right beside him. As for empathy; do me a favour?

Dreadful TV, and a good few of the people on his "show" are proud to air their ignorance. I work with them and they are quite open about it. They find it funny, and it's a free trip with complimentary alcohol thrown in while they get their Warholian fifteen minutes.
