I have heard that the beaches around merida mexico Progresso, chuburna, etc.) are not really very good "swimming" beaches, is this true?? I like to be able to see my feet and also need a relatively sandy bottom to stand on. In addition, my young children will be traveling with us and I don't want to worry about strong currents, undertow. We plan to rent a house and have been looking at several. Please advise before we book!!!! Thank you so much!!! Justine
