On my other laptop running Win7 I have saved several websites by right clicking on them and putting them on my desktop, every site so far had it's own icon but yesterday for some reason the laptop changed all these icons
into one with a picture of the globe on, all the same, I have tried re-visiting all of these websites and saving to desktop but the same thing happens to the icons, can anybody tell me why this is happening and how to stop it?

I think for an AB Techie to offer an explanation with a possible solution to the problem, it will be necessary for you to identify the the Browser you are using.
Incidentally, are you saying that all the icons are now 'one with a picture of the globe on'. Also, have you downloaded any programmes during the the past few days.
