Explorer icons

My favourites begin with E icons and many are converted to custom icons by the website. Recently internet explorer has taken to turning them back to e's every time I reboot and I can't find any way to stop it as it's a lot better for each icon to be different if possible. Is there a trick to it or does it often happen and just a bug?

Thanks Kempie, shame the search facility wasn't as efficient as you, it missed the actual question despite being there, raises a whole new question in itself...

The same thing happened to me when I used IE. I have since tried firefox browser, which I could not get on with, and am now using opera which is great. Neither of these browsers change the web site favicon.
