11a how do you get "too" from very small or very small bodies & 17d how do you get hard times from set in outskirts of halifax briefly? Can't be arsed to think very small bodies outskirts of halifax, I mean too hard...thanks!

17d) the outskirts of the word 'halifax' are H and X

H stands for HARD when used to describe pencils e.g. HB

X is the symbol used for multiplication e.g. 2 time 4
(meant to put TIMES in that last line)

i would need the complete clue for 11a

so the definition part of the clue includes 'small' i.e. it's small bodies of soldiers
