That should be 'skype' calls
Gromit is correct here, dopey useless parents looking for someone to blame, anyone but themselves. That's why my kids have a PAYG.
Our company mobiles on Vodafone have a £40 roaming data limit and then goes into lock - the user then has to call the office to arrange for the administrator to contact Voda to unlock using preset passwords - really pees off one of my directors but given half the chance he would do the same as the girl.
People are so thick. In the BBC article on the same story the mum says something like they shouldn't do it to 14 year olds. Well i presume the 14 yo is not the one with a contract. How does she expect orange to know they have given the phone to their silly daughter?
Bednobs - 2 words come to mind here - Parental Control
also, i don't even have a phone with internet capabilities - if my offspring wanted one, they would have to spring off! How come 14 year olds can have iphones etc, when i can't even afford one?
I thought you went away on holiday to get away from it all. If so why would you want to keep in contact with all and sundry back home? What is it with people feeling the need to keep in contact with everyone at all times day and night? It's pathetic.

Yes...I'm with ToraToraTora. If a 14 year old is going to have a phone, get them on a 'pay as you go' contract.

Common sense.
A fool and his or her money are soon parted.

How many more of these stories are we going to have to put up with until people learn that when you use your Mobile abroad, you run the risk of running up high charges ?

Orange seemed to have done all that they could. What about her parents? Aren't they responsible for anything ?
