Can any knowledgeable horticulturist advise me how to rid my garden borders of this nuisance plant Allium Triquetrum which I understand is wild garlic.
It has spread all around my garden alarmingly in the last few years.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Harvest it and eat it! It has many culinary uses.

The trouble is that this very invasive plant has swamped all my other border plants. I have seen suggestions to apply glycophosphate in the spring but this will mean eliminating all my other border plants as they pop up in the middle of bluebells, daffs etc.
A neighbour gave us some wild garlic 2 years ago and I didn't know how invasive it was - aren't we lucky I decided to grow it in a pot! I have now thrown the whole pot of it away ............
I see you can buy 10 bulbs for just £2.10. I'm going to order some.
I bought some seeds online and gave some to my neighbours.Looks like i had better warn them!
you can get glyphosate in gel form that you smear on the leaves of what you want to kill
Allium Invasion!

Although one of it's common names is wild garlic, it should not be confused with our native wild garlic garlic or Ransoms (Allium ursinum).
Allium triquetrum or three cornered leek is an invasive species from the Medeteranium region, and is currently finding the Uk climate to it's liking.
As you well know, it is a tiresome weed to eradicate, but on an up note the plant is edible it can be eaten cooked, pickled or added to salads.

I would say it's probably best to harvest what you dig out and hopefully enjoy it, rather than throw it out, which also helps it to spread.

Don't buy the bulbs sandyRoe. I will send you any amount that you may want.
But I warn you to keep then strictly in a pot.
