Do they still have one of those round wheels on the bridge that you see on pirate ships?

Some may but, visiting the bridge of a cross-Channel catamaran ferry, I saw that the "steering-wheel" - for want of a better word - was about the diameter of a cup! Certainly, it could be easily be grasped in one's hand.

Many modern ships just have a toggle to adjust the servos, when this needs to be done manually.
We had an old Ex Naval Pinnace that had a great big wooden wheel, I used to love it as a kid, but that because it had chain steering, real monster :)
it's not looking good

she doesn't even have a parrot on her shoulder
They should have a funnel attached to a hosepipe, so they can shout to the engine room.
I thought modern cruise ships just had one of these.

Although some boats still have the traditional type. Note the mahogany inlays, particularly nice don't you think, nice dials too.

it's a shame she's let that piece of cord trail down behind her, it might get caught on something
Yes jno, the daft moo is (a) not on water, and (b) not looking where she is going.

Quoi, the red button is multi-functional, it can launch missiles, hoot and make the ship jump over obstacles.
it looks like water, but you can do anything with photos these days. In fact, I have tracked down the original of that one before it was photoshopped

jno, I had to get my monacle out and have a closer look, you are right. I thought it was grass. This photo taken just after the shot, proves it was water.
