Using the various online electoral roll search engines that you will find if this thread carries on, as the adverts will mysteriously start to appear to the right of the threads, these sites must pay an advertising fee to the Crystal Guides Company but they have obviously better things to do with that revenue than re establish a chatroom topic on here.

Ok thanks,I will give it a go.The person I am looking for did have some fame so that might help.

Thanks

As I mentioned on another thread a couple of days ago, I found a relatives adopted son on UK People Finder here & I'm please to say that mother & son are now happily reunited.

P.S. It didn't cost me a penny for all the joy it has brought into their lives.

Thats great well done.

My search is not as important as yours but hope it works.

I have tried your recommendation

Thanks

Thank you - you're more than welcome Deb.
I've found people by looking on Google. But you need to know a bit about them and it helps if theyre not called John Smith! It also depends if they want to be found.

Actually, I DO want to find a John Smith !

No chance, I know, but I desparately want to right a wrong from long ago.

spill the beans. What did you do?

OK, just between you and me, DebDeb. Nothing sleezy, Im afraid.

My best friend lent me his Morris Minor soft- top ( Yes, years ago !) while my car was in dock. I drove it for a week in poor weather and handed it back in filthy condition and with an empty tank. Result: loss of a friend.

I was young (ish), selfish and unthinking. All the result of being spoilt as a child, I suppose. But I can't rid myself of the regret I feel - even after 40 years. So there we are.

If you are an ABer, John ,and lived in Lewisham with your bookmaker dad. I'M SO, SO, SORRY !!

Thanks, DebDeb- I feel a little better now. l.o.love

Have you been watching 'My name is Earl' by any chance? We have all been silly and selfish when we were young but he probably done something bad that he regrets too (probably got off with your girlfriend!) so don't beat yourself up about it.Sure you have lots of great friends now!
