Please could I have some explanation for my answers.
6d Dog leads needed for peace of mind (3) P?M Have decided on POM as short for a breed of dog and first letters of last 3 words of clue.
25d Jack and ten, initially, then ace, king, or queen (3) Have decided on TAR as Jack Tar (sailor) and T being first letter of ten but can't acount for ace, king, or queen.
21d Significance of minutes grasped by one side of board(6) Have decided on IMPORT as only word that fits and port is one side of ship (on board). The M is part of answer to 22a which is correct.

POM seems fine if that's a dog. The clue says 'leads' -which suggests first letters- of 'peace of mind'
25d.ace=a, king or queen = r (royal)
import is correct
21d MINUTES = M
Grasped by one side of board = I PORT
Put M between I and PORT = IMPORT
one side of a boat/ship (on board) is 1 PORT; minutes=M
Big Dave is really good for explanations

6d You're right
25d Tar - 't(en)' + 'a(ce)' + 'R(ex/egina)'
21d Import (significance) - 'm(inutes) (in) 'I' (one) + 'port' (clue reads "...oN board")
25d Abbreviation for a king or a queen is R (rex/regina).
T = first letter of Ten.
A = ace
R = rex, regina.

Thank you everyone for the explanations. Don't like just relying on a guess even though correct guess.
