Does Norris get on your nerves? He does mine. How much of Rita's shop does he own? He's now bad-mouthing Emily's relatives cos he is after her house in her will.

Norris's first wife was myrtle, his second wife was Angela who was Derek's ex wife.
They love chopping and changing partners in soaps !
What happened to The Kabin being a Post Office? There was a big fuss when it became one, but doesn't seem to be one now.....

Why can't they bring in look-alikes for missing characters. It works in Aussie soaps.
I didn't know he owned the shop outright either, where did he get the money?
I also love Norris, he and Roy's mother brighten my day!

Why canpt they mention Ken Barlow, it's not his real name, it's a make-believe person, and he's supposed to be in Oz visiting his younger brother, so surely Dreary can say that he's phoned or she's heard from him. I mean Sally mentioned Kevin once or twice.
Question Author
I'm not sure he paid a penny, he thought it was owed to him because of all the hours he put in. It would never work in our corner shop, the owner is a tight wad!
Rita went on a world cruise with the money Norris paid for the shop.
Explained in Wiki

Norris's half brother, Ramsay Clegg (Andrew Sachs), arrives and hopes to make amends with Norris, who refuses to speak to him. Norris blames Ramsay for their mother's death, stating that the shock of his reappearance in her life caused her demise. Despite Ramsay's best efforts at a reconciliation, Norris refuses to see him as anything other than an illegitimate half-brother and Ramsay eventually returns to Australia. Norris is left reeling at the news that Ramsay died on the flight; he had an incurable brain tumour, which he never told Norris about. Some of Ramsay's possessions are left to Norris and amongst them is a letter written by their mother, who cruelly rejected Ramsay. Norris is left devastated that he had blamed Ramsay all along. After Ramsay's death in August 2009, Rita decides to sell up the Kabin. When Norris receives £172,000 pounds from Ramsay's will, he buys the Kabin from Rita.
Thanks hc, yes I remember it all now.
all of it and yes, but he's *supposed* to be annoying x
I would love a Corrie website in two halves - the first part giving the story lines from day 1 to now; the other a biog of every character.

Anyone up for the challenge?

almost every place has a Norris, he is the busybody, nosy parker, the interfering fool that thinks he knows it all... i quite like him
I would love a 15min episode with the meerkats playing the characters.
I agree, Em. He reminds me of Eddie in Early Doors.
Yes please, Neti - great fun
Whenever Norris talks (stumbling) I always think it's Zippy from Rainbow.
Corrie needs characters like him for the comedy and people like it when he is put in his place for his interfering.
