I AGREE haha I said to my daughter I don't know why I still watch them.
Question Author
They were totally over the top tonight. And now Roy is throwing tantrums in Corrie!
I had to turn it right down...I was sick to the back teeth listening to the arguments and wailing going on with both programs this evening.

I am planning on not watching the next few weeks til it settles down again, it is way over the top in my opinion.
Question Author
Yes, it's not my cupotee at the minute either.
How right you are Ellie - that is why when I finished my tea/dinner I retreated to here (this site) these soaps are beyond the imagination (well mine anyway) - have you ever noticed - what happens in one soap - they copy it another soap.

Drunk - the little girl in Emmerdale
Drunk - the girl in Eastenders - has liver disease

Violence in one soap - screaming and yelling in another - cant watch it anymore. (Must watch some of it (yawn) come on here for a bit of craic.
Question Author
I hate when they wreck the place and throw things over. It's easy for them as they don't have to clear it up afterwards.
Agree Ellie - you have to pick up the pieces:)
You have to admire the acting. Youngsters suffering affects of alcohol is becoming a huge problem. These programmes are a warning for them.
yes maybe you are right index but I long for the relaxing (easy watching to unwind) soaps we used to have. I absolutely dread to think of the effect these soaps have on the young in terms of relationship issues, etc, no-one is ever happy and they drift from one to the other as if feelings just don't matter!
Do youngsters actually watch these programmes? Mine don't.
I only watch EE out of the soaps, but Lauren's high pitched shrieking is beginning to annoy - hope she gets carted off to rehab soon.
Lauren takes the part of an alcoholic really well. Good actress.
Question Author
Yes, the girl who plays Laura is a great actress, very believable.
i though the scene in Debbies house with her and charity screaming at each other was one of the best acting scenes in a soap ive ever seen, excellent worthy of a soap award for that ,
