I'd like to deposit the full £5760 allowance into a new cash ISA and wonder if anyone can help me find the best interest rate available. ideally I'd like to deposit in branch but will go to an internet deposit if I have to.

I've looked online and can find Nationwide at 2.25% or 3% if I deposit monthly which i prefer not to do.

(Last year's cash ISA was fixed rate for 2years so is locked down this year.)

I'd be guessing, but I reckon that the best rate at the mo is prob no higher than 2.5%. I wouldn't bother investing in the one where you make monthly deposits, 'cos the effective rate is much less, as the remainder of your balance is prob earniong a pittance of a rate somewhere.

You could get a 2 year fixed rate at a different bank? Mine is at Lloyds. Would have to look up percentage though.
Unless you want to tie your money up for 3-5 years you probably won't do much better than around 2.3 -2.4%
Have you tried the MSE site?

.... forgot to add, you'll obviously get a better rate if you're prepared to lock it away for a number of years - you need a crystal ball to fathom out when these cr@ppy rates are going to get better .........

Thanks all, my previous ISA is locked down at 4.1%, so i see little point in tying up this year's allowance on its own for the sake of the pittance it will pay over the easy access rate. I'll keep looking and check the MSE lists again but I think the 2.25% i have seen with Nationwide looks about the best deal around.
As the rates are so dire, you could always put it in the Halifax (min £5000 so you`re OK) and be in with a chance of winning their monthly £100,000 prize draw.
