over summer i am (hopefully) going down to cornwall a couple of times to go surfing. is it best to get my nose pierced AFTER this? so i dont catch it/risk infection. or would the salt water be quite good to help with healing (if i got it done a week or two before) any ideas? i just dont want anything to go wrong!

Personally I would say ask the piercer or your doctor. I use salt water on my piercings for the first couple of weeks but then aftre I do not clean them - may sound disgusting but I find the cleaner they are the more problems I get, so I don't. But with sea water not being very clean I woudn't be sure. But I can't imagine it being any more dirty than applying make up to your face, I would suggest just making sure that you clean the piercing and the ring/stud afterwards. The best thing to use on the go would be dettol spray and cotton buds.

im not a qualified piercer but it seems that salt water is good for the healing process when it comes to piercings. But double check with the piercer to be on the safe side.
it only takes 6 weeks to fully heal so go with that. The salt water is fine for it but the sewerage we chuck in our seas wont be.
