Hi, can anybody tell me if cats can get hay fever, please?
our 17 year old cat has started sneezing and her eyes are streaming. It's very unlikely she has cat flu, though she isn't vaccinated now she doesn't go out side.I'd be interested to hear Abers views. I think I'll take her to the vet tomorrow as she does seem to be uncomfortable. Thanks

I have an asthmatic cat. When we were at the vet last week the vet mentioned that the pollen was bad just now so it is possible that it is some sort of allergy that your cat has.

I hope that you manage to get something that will make her feel more comfortable - sneezing will be eating into valuable snoozing time.

I think only eating comes in the way of sleeping but she is sneezing a lot. Thanks
My 2 year old bengal (also my avatar) sneezes a lot this time of year, leaving lots of greenies around the place although he often eats them. Apart from that he's as right as ninepence. Never for one moment thought it could be feline hayfever until I read your post.
