/// The columnists, Mike Resnick and Barry Malzberg, responded to claims that their descriptions were sexist in another bulletin, where they wrote that "all we did was appear in a magazine with a warrior woman on the cover, and mention that a woman who edited a science fiction magazine 65 years ago was beautiful. If they get away with censoring that, can you imagine what comes next? I'm pretty sure Joe Stalin could imagine it … Even Chairman Mao could imagine it." ///

We could be nearer than first thought.

/because of past 'EXPERIENCE', just as past experience of those halycon days when most things were so much better. /

aog

if you are that experienced, you must recall the Old People back in the 50s and 60s, telling you that /most things were so much better/ in the Edwardian period?

/// The piece in the link was in the Guardian's book section, a serious section. Does the Daily Mail have a serious book section? If it does, it might yet get around to this piece. ///

Perhaps you and others might like to get around to the Daily Mail's serious book section, obviously this author also viewed Britain's past halcyon days, much better than today's.

Roger Lewis is only 53

So by your definitions aog, is no more qualified by 'experience' to know what he is talking about than I am
^
That was the author of the Review aog

If you were referring to the author of the book...

Matt Rudd is only 38

so even less qualified by the 'experience' you set such store by, to know what he is talking about
AOG, many places i worked in was male dominated, take my word for it, men made the running, controlled the business, Personnel, HR largely didn't exist, so no one to complain to, and even if you did complain to a manager you were looked on as the problem.
young men who suffered because of women being overtly sexual, for example in a factory. suggest that would be the exception to the rule
things have changed thank goodness, now at least if someone makes an inappropriate remark or action it can be taken seriously, not then.
