And how close did you get?

I always wanted to be a vet (was put off as a child by everyone telling me how impossible it was. Shame really).

I ended up working with horses and moved onto elderly care. So quite close really.

how about you?

Rich.

Nowhere near.
I wanted to be a mechanic or an engineer, but wasn't allowed in the 50/60's , if I were young today I would study IT and all things computer, I love it.
I was a secretary and then I became a nursery teacher in a hippie school in Ibiza where they thought I was very British!!
I wanted to work in mental health, it took me until I was 49 to get that job, now I realise I should have stuck to my guns and continued with it when I left school at 16.
I wanted to be a naturist like David Attenborough (not sure what happened to that vocation)
then a vet (failed miserably in physics/science)
then a nurse (but dont like vomit, so that put paid to that one)
NATURALIST !!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to be a florist. Ended up going into Youth & Community. Retired now but spend hours in the garden!

I was going to say, purplepopple, do you really need qualifications to be a naturist?! And what are they? I'm a carer, but also don't 'do vomit'. It makes me want to heave. Thankfully, very rarely happens for some reason.
