Image and cars. A friend would never have a Rolls Royce, only a Bentley, even as an old man. Why? The image of the Rolls driver was of an old plutocrat with too much money and who wanted to show off. My daughter refused a second hand, red Merc SLK taking a silver one instead. Why? Because a 25 year old woman driving a red one had too much of a tarty image!

Me, I have a Skoda estate, which I think is black, but I can't tell through all that dirt. Fits my image all right ! And I'd never have a Jaguar because I don't belong to a golf club and never drank gin and tonic

I ride a bicycle:-

I save money, no need for petrol
I get exercise, burn calories, increase strength balance and flexibility.
I don't need a license
I don't have to look for parking spots.
I save the earth, no carbon emission and all that.
Waiting in traffic is not an issue for me.

...and I love my red bicycle. Please judge me :)

I would love to live in a society where nobody is judged on colour of skin, sexuality, gender etc.

But I wholeheartedly agree that you should be judged on the car you drive.

Don't get me started on Volvo drivers... Or Astra drivers...
