Looking at the reviews, the camera records on tape. So you will need to connect it to the computer and playback the video while capturing the output, using something like Windows Movie Maker, or similar.

For this you will need a firewire (IEEE1394) port on the laptop.

...should say, although the camera alos has a USB port, as far as I can tell, this is only useful fro transferring photos, not videos.

Alternatively, if you have a DVD recorder or VCR, you can connect it direct to them using the AV, HDMI or component-out ports.
