Threads I've subscribed to are listed on the side of the page, so I don't really need emails to tell me a new post has been added. Does anyone know how to stop them? I thought there might be something in my profile, but I can't see anything.

I see little point in having E/mail notification of further postings in threads to which one has subscribed. It shouldn't be too difficult for the Ed to arrange for E/mails to be 'knocked-out' and 'Subscribed Threads' continuing to be up-dated on the right hand side of the pages which appear on our individual computer screens.

Anyway, I have indicated in a previous thread the way I deal with the matter. :-

Thanks Alston. I didn't think of that. I'll try it - and have a quick whisk through the junk occasionally to make sure there are none there I want to see. I get so many emails - I'm just trying to filter the unnecessary ones out of my inbox. Thank you very much.
Rather than subscribe, I keep up with "Threads involving me" in My Profile.

Another good idea. Thanks Maydup.
We probably need to put in an option for this.

When the site relaunched many moons ago we didn't send the subscription emails - assuming that members would do as you do and use the subscribed pod. We got a lot of requests to reinstate it, so we did.

Funny how everyone uses the site in a different way.

Yes, I think people do use the site in different ways, but I would like the option to opt out of the automatic emails - if that's possible.
