So, as I posted last week I paid for a big bouquet to be delivered thru Eflorist that day. Money was taken out of bank instantly. Flowers never arrived. Tried for days to contact them. You cannot get thru by phone - it’s permanently engaged (yet they tell me they don’t even have a phone number!), their website LIVE CHAT isn’t actually a person, just a set of repeated automated questions which go nowhere, emails get the same response to every one -‘ we will contact you within 2 working days’, which they never do. The final email I sent was the only one I got a reply from an actual person. I said if I wasn’t contacted that day telling me which florist they booked so I could ring them myself then I was ringing Trading Standards. I finally get a reply from an actually person saying they couldn’t tell me that ‘due to Data Protection’. Seriously!?? So I finally replied saying why couldn’t they themselves simply ring this florist and ask what’s happened? Or else just refund me. It would take 5 mins. Never heard back.....
Do I simply accept that I’ve been completely ripped off and will never see this money again?? (It was £42 btw)

That's awful smow :( There's a worrying amount of poor views on Trustpilot, filtered here to the worst two categories, and some with similar issues. Though many who have had deliveries aren't happy either.

Concerning how recent so many of them are too, page 6 of the poor reviews still only goes back 2 days!

It sounds like they use Yodel for delivery, they are mentioned in quite a few reviews, and given the description of the flowers some have got I'd be surprised if they use decent local florists, I'm wondering if they come from somewhere more central, hence the issues people are describing.

A few things cropped up a few times in the reviews. As they seem to use Yodel, could there be somewhere the flowers could have been left that your MIL might not have seen them?

There also seems to be some kind of disclaimer about how deliveries can take longer due to Covid, though that suggests maybe days. Some people say they've had emails about them not being able to fulfill the order, so might be worth checking your spam folder, just in case something came through.

I really hope you get it sorted.

Monday afternoon update! After a final email to them today telling them I was ringing my local newspaper I coincidentally get an email straight back saying they can’t get hold of the florist who was meant to send the flowers(yeh right!!) and have issued me with a full refund......
Isn’t that funny....... lol
What a coincidence... I'm so glad you've got it sorted, well, got a refund at least. Given the reviews it's maybe best that you got your money back given there are so many poor reviews about flowers which did get delivered.

Such a shame that such a lovely gesture ended up in all this.

I know Eve... :( but this afternoon I have personally rang a local florist, explained the nightmare and they are going to hand deliver a bouquet tomorrow to her, obviously paid for, but with no delivery charge as they too were so shocked. So fingers crossed for tomorrow lol xx
good that you started this thread, it's warned me, and I suppose a lot of other people.
One thing is certain, no-one on AB will be using their services. Despite the saying there is such a thing as bad publicity.
My advice is to contact an independent florist in the vicinity of where you want to send them. Never had a problem
Next's florist is very good and reasonable prices.
Here's just one picture I think is very pretty.

Good outcome Smow. I have found Serenata and BloomnWild at least reliable, along with Next and Interflora. There are so many companies doing flower deliveries now.
Well done Smow, great you got your money back, this is what my friend sent me and a pic of the actual 'bouquet' on the day it arrivedhttps://www.dropbox.com/home/eflorist
You have to sign in to that site.
sorry Jackdaw
That link just takes me to my own Dropbox page.
sorry Prudie, I don't post pics on here and am not great with dropbox,as ye can see
No need to apologise ducksie, I was just interested to see what I presume was going to be a poor excuse for bouquet :-)
I've used Flying Flowers a few times, which always seem good. For next time...
