Have just made a couple of litres for freezing. How long can I safely leave it in the freezer? Thank you.

depends on what type, but as it's usually either pureed or shopped small, No longer than 3 months,according to Hugh FW, Elizabeth David and Delia
You can store frozen soup for 2-3 months.

Was hoping fornlonger that that. Better make diary note to self... Thank you both.
That surprises me. Forever and a day would have been my advice. Maybe make a test batch and try one a month until there seems to be a problem. I suspect you'll reach the end of the batch.
M&S Freezer book says 3 to 6 months. It will, of course, be SAFE to keep for much longer - but won't be at it's best.
It'll be fine for a year at least - don't believe what the books say.
