My laptop Fujitsu esprimo windows 7 has deceased. The hard drive is still good and has all boot files/programmes in place. I am 'making do' with my knackered' packard bell running windows vista. If I inserted hard drive from fujitsu windows 7 into packard bell vista, would it boot up and run?
Thanks folks,
Bob

It might, but it may not all work properly.

When Windows is installed on any computer it installs all the right components and drivers for the hardware in THAT computer.

If you move it to a new computer the hardware will be different so some things may work some may not.

You can try and do a Windows repair to see if it sorts it all out.
