/// In London immigrant accounted for more than a third of the 210 rape suspects who were charged. ///

/// Twenty four were from Jamaica, 14 from Nigeria, 13 from Poland and ten from Portugal. ///

/// Out of 180 suspects charged with murder in the capital, 41 were foreign - including seven from Jamaica and five each from Turkey, Poland and
Sri Lanka. ///

/// Suffolk had the highest percentage of foreign murder suspects – almost three quarters of those charged with the offence were immigrants. ///

Can this be the downside of the Multi Culture experiment?

/// Interesting that the figures given are for suspects not convictions - I wonder why? ///

The answer is in the thread below, they are simply cautioned.
AOG, does anything good ever happen in your world, if it does why not share it once in a while.

I can tell nearly all of your posts just by the depressing question title, try looking at the positive side of life just occasionally!

/// I imagine it was a lot higher when the normans turned up. ///

Ah the 1066 version of the Godwin's Law.
Would you be upset AOG to trace your family history and find that you came from Norman or Viking stock?
"/// I imagine it was a lot higher when the normans turned up. ///

Ah the 1066 version of the Godwin's Law"

Very droll, AoG. :)
At least the Normans had the decency to have a stand-up fight

Them Anglo-Saxons had mostly slipped in on Holiday Visas

- next thing you know they're squatting somewhere and calling it something-burgh or something-wick
Can anyone find the number of murders in Suffolk ?

"Almost three quarters of those charged with the offence [murder] were immigrants"[the link]. Suffolk Constabulary's own crime statistics, though detailed, don't list murders. Murders must be included in 'violent crime'.

"How can that be proven, when they haven't provided the figures for those?"

That's what I mean.

These figures relate to foreign nationals rather than Britons.

Indeed a very droll, if not inane, response AOG. I merely wondered at your lack of intellect in understanding how long this multicultural "experiment" has been going on for.
Yes, Zacs, thanks. Er....what's the answer? I couldn't get it to open LOL
aog, have you ever read "How to Lie with Statistics" by Darryl Huff ? It's a classic and has been long in print. It helps the reader to make proper conclusions from statistics. It may just be that what is worrying to a journalist should not be worrying at all.
Time for vino soon me thinks....
Even more worring , or perhaps, worrying figures..... 4 out of 5 rape and murder suspects are not foreign nationals...bloody hell, that means that are probably British.
Crikey !

It's seems most amazing that some would rather put the blame on their own country men in their bid to support the foreigners.

Having said that I am assuming that they are their own fellow country men, a good reason why our nationalities should show up on profile, we would know then where their bias was coming from.

/It's seems most amazing that some would rather put the blame on their own country men in their bid to support the foreigners. /

Sorry aog

Can you please explain which part of mikey 4444's logic you have an issue with?

Otherwise it might seem that you are trying (in a rather silly way) to avoid facts that don't suit you by insinuating that people who present such facts may be biased in some way

I would have thought presenting an intelligent, rational, fact based argument was an ideal regardless of nationality

From a nationalistic point of view, seeing British people incapable of dealing with that rationally is very disappointing

It's not particularly that I'd "rather" criticise my own countrymen, or immigrants. With a ridiculous amount of blind optimism, I'd rather criticise neither group, actually.

More realistically, I'd rather criticise both groups in a measure proportionate to their level of blame. If 1/5 suspects are foreign nationals, 4/5 are not. And those 4/5 deserve just as much criticism as the other lot.

That said, it does mean that we ought to be more careful if possible about whom we let in to this country. And yes, it is a downside of the multicultural "experiment". But it was never a controlled experiment in the first place, and never can be. This is not really a cause for stopping it outright, but a call for being more vigilant.
