I am looking for a decent red wine with only light tannin. I have an overseas guest shortly who enjoys wine but cannot now cope with much tannin. Any ideas please. Mosr of the reds I have normally contain a fair amount t of tannin.

Beaujolais and Tempranillo are both low tannin red wines.

Beaujolais and Tempranillo are both low tannin red wines.
Your local wine merchant should also be able to help make a selection. Some Pinot, and Chianti, can be low in tannins too.

Thank you for the information. All will be well.
I would go with a nice Beaujolais.
Anything made with Gamay grapes (like Beaujolais) or with Pinot Noir.
New Zealand Pinot Noirs - big, fruity and low tannin

Temperanillos - Navajas for example. Go up on the Beajolais and find a Fleurie, Julienas or Morgon - more flavour and intensity to them.
