I once saw a cracking episode of this where Dawn French was playing an insane person who claimed responsibility for every major crime in her area, when she was clearly innocent. So, when she then murders someone, she goes to the police and confesses, but they ignore her and blame it on her being back to her old tricks. It was a genius way of getting away with murder.

Two questions:

A) Where could I find this again? (ie. What is the episode called?)

B) Would the police really disregard a confession like this if it actually happened, or do you think they would investigate all leads?
