Could have been worse. Might have been on the ball.
Why does his Team not just sack him ! If he was a Teacher, or a Nurse than he would almost certainly lose his job. I'm fed up with these whining footballers. They are paid ludicrously overinflated wages, which all of us who watch them every Saturday are paying through our tickets prices.
Keeps football in the news .All news is good publicity .Ticket sales will go up .Who will he bite next .Sell him to Chew Alexander .
Mikey,
If a Teacher was worth £40m to her school and 40,000 people turned up and paid the school £30 each to watch her excellent history lessons then she wouldn't be sacked either.
mikey, doctordb has the issue right there - Suarez is a deeply unpleasant individual with the temprement of a naughty four-year-old who should have his legs smacked.

Unfortunately, simultaniously, he is one of the greatest footballing skills of his generation, and Liverpool cannot afford to let him go.

The sad part about it is, he knows that - which is why he behaves the way he does - and gets away with it.

Brendan Rodgers criticises FA over ban.

IMHO, Rodgers needs to be very careful because he's starting to sound like Dalglish did shortly before his 'departure'.

And what the funny/peculiar does "punished the man" rather than the actual offence mean? He is the only one expressing surprise at the severity, why is no one else even vaguely surprised?

What does Rodgers expect when his player has this on his CV?:

1) Bitten someone. Twice.
2) Racially abused another player.
3) Sworn at Fulham fans
4) Dived throughout his career
5) Had a fight with another Ajax player
6) Punched Gonzalo Jara
7) Refused to shake Evra's hand
