Thought I was seeing things then, when the word 'Christmas' popped up! :P I went to a medieval banquet at Cadbury, which was for my works Christmas party, so maybe try there? It was a few years ago mind, but may be worth a shot. It was such a good night!

well as I work next door to Cadbury, ill have pop in to find out.

Ah yes, you work at Cadbury Garden don't you?

Yeah, I went to one there a few years ago. Highly recommend it if they still do them, it was great fun. We got served by wenches, drank lots of 'mead', and then had a cheesy disco at the end of the night :)
There's only one other place I know that do them, but that's in London. I'd be surprised if there's nothing in central Bristol at that time of year. They have always seemed very popular.

Not sure about medieval but one of my mother-in-laws does marvellous 1950's style cooking.

Anne, yesterday I posted the fact it was only 244 (now 243) days until Christmas on FB- no one seemed to appreciate it

*sniff* :-(
no one seemed to appreciate it.................. you should have been banned !
Bah and indeed Humbug ... ;)
I did a daily countdown from about November onwards last year Anne, they didn't seem to appreciate that either.

Bunch of Scrooges!
I nearly blocked her!!! :-)
boo, see your gp asap. thats very strange behaviour
We are thinking of getting married at a medieval banquet type party with everybody dressed accordingly in a tent in the middle of a field or something similar with all the hounds. It wont be legally binding but it will deal with the most important part, We can get the legal stuff out of the way in the registry office.
