Fundraising Plugs On Here?

There's a little boy in my nephews class who has a brain tumour and has defied the odds to survive since Christmas but he's desperately poorly. The family have been offered the rare chance of treatment that could save his life in America. The only problem is that they have to be there in a week or he will miss it and they need to raise £225,000 by then to make it possible.

Of course everyone in town is spreading the word and they've raised over £50k in a couple of days.

I just wondered if it would be out of order to put a link to his just giving page on here?

I've just seen the following on your link;

"Given the complex nature of the treatment and facilities, Proton Beam Therapy won’t be fully available in England until 2017. Until then the NSCT will continue to fund patients to receive treatment abroad."

Perhaps it's just not possible due to the very limited time span in this case.

The Daily Mail has picked up little Alex's story and now over £96,000 has been raised. Thought I might as well add the link here. The whole town is flooded with people who are complete strangers to him organising fund raisers. It's heartwarming to see really.

Just thought I'd let you know, for those who donated or might just be interested, the Alex fund has not only reached it's target but also surpassed it by an additional £15,000! And there's still more events to come.
