Good afternoon all, A few questions for a Famous Buildings Quiz in aid of the British Legion . All the answers are the names of famous buildings throughout the world both ancient and modern.

1. Big piece of glass (3,5).
2, Symbol of naval power (1,1,1,7).
3. Raising boats in Scotland (7,5).
4. Good lookout spot for a sailor (7,6).
5. River crossing just missed the medals (5,6).
6. Religious home of Yorkshire writers (6,9).

Thank you all very much. I thought of Haworth parsonage but it has the wrong number of letters but the compiler, who thinks he's the bee's knees frequently makes a cock up of the questions but I'll let it run for now in case I receive some other idea. H.M.S. Victory I like but there is a question mark over whether it really is a building.
I have another quiz to finish in which all the answers are comparisons. I'll put two of the questions here and relist them on another thread as well.
1. As merry as (4,2,4).
2. As close as (3,4,2,1,4)
Help with these also please.
