Stomach Ulcer Pain

Since around 4 or 5pm I've had a dull ache/pain in the upper part of my stomach and it doesn't feel like its going away any time soon. Whenever it has flared up in the past the pain goes on for several hours and into the night despite me downing loads of gaviscon and an antacid at the first sign of it.

This time I haven't taken anything as I don't have anything in the house. I drunk 3 mugs of warm milk earlier which usually takes the edge of the pain but its still really bad. I'm very tired but the pain is worse if I'm in a lying position so I can't go to bed.

Has anyone got any advice on how to ease this type of pain?

I'll make an appointment Ummmm. I think I finished a course of Omep. just before I found out I was pregnant and haven't had the need to take it since.

I can't take any pain killers Gness, as this will make it worse. Been there, done that, never doing it again....lol

I did sleep well actually. The pain was still there but I was able to lay down without it getting bad. The CABBAGE worked wonders Sqad ;o)))

The pain started up again earlier but my dad came to the rescue with honey and it really seems to work. I'd definitely recommend it!

I've managed to assemble a childs chair and a small storage unit from Ikea which I couldn't do yesterday due to the pain :o)
Jeez...Don't tell Sqad, Tiggs.....he'll have to go for a lie down if he thinks honey works.......and as for cabbage juice!!!!! x

I'm booking an appointment with my GP Methyl. The ulcer hasn't flared up like this in ages. I'm still trying to figure out what has triggered it. When I've had it in the past it goes on for 2 or 3 days and is at its worst at night.
Hi Tiggs, I was thinking about you today and wondered how you got on.

Hi Society, the pain is still there but not as bad as last night :o)

My OH takes Zantec on prescription for his ulcer. It does work, but he can't stop taking it. I hope you feel better soon Tiggs.

I'll see what my GP says. As I said, it hasn't flared up like this in around 4 years. I stopped taking Omep. just before I found out I was pregnant and haven't had a flare-up since then. If I get prescribed something on repeat and prevents it then that'll be good.

Work tomorrow, so off to bed. Night x
