Anyone know if there is a shop selling the full range of tapestry wool in either Birmingham or Oxford - fairly accessible from either city-centre, please. I can't go traipsing out to Solihull or Walsall or suchlike on a shopping trip.

what about mail order, as an alternative, here's one? http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Threads
Is there a Hobbycraft, they do all kinds of things like that.

Market stalls may do too if there is a market, mostly wool in the markets up here though.

You can get loads of craft supplies online.
Very easy to google, actually - there's a Hobbycraft in Oxford http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/knit-and-stitch/tapestry-and-rug-kits

I can't buy online, as I have to match a colour. But I'll give one of those shops a ring to see if they have the full range. Many say they have, but after I have had along journey, I all-too-often find there are huge gaps in the displays
I don't know how mobile you are, but if Hobbycraft in Oxford hasn't got what you need, there are 2 very good shops within reasonably easy reach of Oxford. Both called Needlecraft .... at Burford & at Shipston-on-Stour. The one at S-on-S has an extensive range.
John Lewis used to stock, I don't know if they still do, as it has been a while since I bought any.
