It isn't sad fact that race horses that don't make it get put aside very quickly and who knows where they'd end up. But it's not just grand national losers but all poor performing horses.
Should read it is a sad fact
I was going to say the same as fgt about whether anyone has tried to make a horse do something it doesn't want to do.
My favourite horse was Vodkatini, he just dug his heels in, said this is a mug's game and refused to race
Quite honestly I don't give a monkey's fig whether it is banned or not. Horse sports rank alongside F1 and tennis, to me anyway, as immediate switch offs.

However, I suspect that if horse racing were to be banned, an awful lot of people would be out of work, and that can't be good for the economy
And FYI I didn't bet on it and have never bet on it.
No horse died...What a crushing disappointment for those who want this great race banned.
Save the cow!

No horses died WBA but 2 died over the week. That's ok though! They're just a commodity.Horses love to race!what about the ones that just dont cut it....burger heaven!!
What I find strange is that riderless horses still carry on running and jumping the fences !.
What a stupid inane comment WBA - thank God no horses died - it makes a nice change !
Sadly, I've no doubt that WBA is right.
Don't agree.
