Today I'm going to cook a dish I seen on Saturday Kitchen this morning. It's Fillet of lemon sole with kale and crab butter sauce. It looked lovely.

What are you having/had?

And do you often copy recipes you see on TV?

I often look up recipes I've seen on the tv. Particularly Raymond Blanc stuff.

We are having toasties and/or crumpets. We had a huge late lunch in the pub after the antiques fair we went to today so neither of us feel particularly hungry.
Actually, sod it, I've made a decision. I'm gonna chuck the pizza in the bin and head to ummmm's for lemon sole with kale and crab sauce! I'm bringing an empty tum tum and a NZ sauvignon blanc

Beef in guinness, creamed potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli, brussel sprouts and petit pois a la francais and a couple of glasses of red. Then syrup sponge or ice cream depending how full we are.(or possibly both)
Just hubby and me tonight - so a couple of rib-eye steaks, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, fried onions, thick steak chips and petit pois. for pud I've treated hubby to one of those American desserts mousse things from M&S, toffee flavoured mousse with a cheesecake base, fudgey pieces in the mousse with caramel sauce and whipped cream. My teeth just ache reading that! I might have a mini dark Magnum with my coffee if I have room.............
I don't follow recipes off the TV because I don't watch TV, but I did an Ainsley Harriot Caribbean stew thing with chicken , prawns and rice once it was in the Radio Times.
Spaghetti and Meatballs for me.

Sometimes I do copy recipes from the tv my fave is Nigella's American Meatloaf
We are having a lazy meal, not much cooking involved. Bits of cooked chicken and fried mushrooms added to a bottle of curry sauce with boiled rice. To follow, syrup cake with warm (tinned) custard.
I remember the days when I said I would NEVER buy a tin of custard!
