With the prospect of snow this weekend, can anyone suggest the best route to avoid the worst of it, if driving from Norfolk to Liverpool on Saturday?

Stick to the motorways? You'll have trouble at the Norfolk end I guess (A147 via King's Lynn and over to A1?) Trans-pennine the M62 will probably be the only route open. I'd be tempted to stay at home, I'm about in the middle of your journey (West Yorks) but travel to N. Norfolk regularly (Fakenham).

Thanks both, we would use the a11 and a14 route too.

Just wondering about the middle and northern end of the journey which is less familiar. How is it around Birmingham and up toward Liverpool now anyone?
Click on the relevant links to see exactly what the motorway cameras are currently seeing:

(You'll probably find that quite a few links aren't currently working but persistence will pay off!)
