what a nightmare, Hughes Jones and Williams and Williams Jones and Hughes, I think I'm going bonkers with it today, trouble is i've taken a break from it to read other stuff on AB and lost the flow.... my cheshire ancestry had one Welsh marriage and it's gone pearshaped from there. I haven't been able to get further than 1786 on that branch for 10 years, it's defeating me. I'm seriously considering a weekend in Flintshire to check out some graveyards in Northop and Meriden

I have every sympathy ..... I have 3 individual Smith lines (and that's bad enough) but they have Jones and Williams marriages!! Arrrghhh .... nigh on impossible! Maybe a local, manual search, as you suggest, is the way to go ..... graveyards have always turned something up for me - even if it wasn't actually what I was looking for! Good luck!

and speaking of villages, if anyone here has any ancestry from Benniworth, we are related lol
Good luck, my aunt by marriage is a Williams and I've just about given up on her tree, her lot are from Senghenydd.
