I am still very stuck on "Miss Marple as she was known in the sleepy county of (7) letters,where she lived.answer name of a tv programme.Please help!!!

I have seen Wexford answered but never understood it

Miss Marple lived in St. Mary Mead in Devon. Wexford is in Ireland. I can't see how that can be the answer but I'll give it some thought & come back to you if I have any bright ideas.

St. Marymead is, I aasume, derived from St. Mary(church) and (Liver)mead, two areas of Torquay near to which Agatha Christie lived at Greenway.

Apparently, it depends on which book you read as to which county St Mary Mead was in. Contestants are, Downshire, Radfordshire and Middleshire - but none of those are 7 letters and the name of a TV programme!

It's just a story so the answers don't have to be 'true', just the name of a police or detective programme. I know Miss Marple lived in Devon but the answer is the name of any county so 'Wexford' would fit.
