Are there any food science whizz's out there who can explain 2 common questions;

1. How does sweetcorn pass through your digestive system and still managed to 'come out' whole?

2. Why does beetroot stain your poo?

Sweetcorn - and other peas/pulses/nuts - 'pass through' because people do not chew their food properly. It really is that simple.

I don't like beetroot (never have), so I can't comment on the other motion up for debate.
