Does anybody else get wound up by the stupidness of people a) in public b) on the road c) every blooimin where? If not then please tell me how! I know that when someone does something stupid there's nothing I can do but it just gets right on my thruppney bits and makes me mad. Why are people so thick/stupid? GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

iwbus, I think it's because of the nanny state we live in. Stupid people should disappear through natural selection, but they are so well protected that they just carry on producing more and more stupid people. Intelligent, sensitive people are in the minority and will soon die out, killed by stress, annoyance and disbelief.
Do you have anything to do with the iw? or buses? If so, then I know the people you are talking about.
yes i hate them in supermarkets..some stand around reading the packets and they wont move..some stand in the middle of the aisles talking with their trolleys and screaming kids running wild..i had a kid dangling on my trolley once..i was not amused..and some walk around so slow like they are on a social day out grrrr..
Unfortunately I have to agree with zubianne on this point. The world has always worked in the past as ''survival of the fittest'' (please lets not get into darwin right/wrong or divine rights etc... here) so the stupid would always die out first, but now everybody survives and the most intelligent are having the least children, and the least intelligent are having most children - work it out for yourselves.
But today what does stupidity mean anyway, maybe they are meant to inherit the modern earth, after all if most of your life is spent at a monotonous job and standing in line waiting for things and most of the household gadgets are so intelligent you need to have no idea of how/why it works and the damage to the environment is not your problem - then low IQ and lack of intelligence might be exactly the type of people that the consumer society needs right now. God help the earth though, with people like that in the majority.
Hi iwbus, Not me personally, but my partner drives buses on the Island and I get the horror stories every evening.
On the Middle Road there's always and old git in front of you doing 20mph and a lad behind wanting to do 80, all this whilst overtaking a cyclist with no lights and no helmet.
They will risk their lives to get in front of something they imagine to be slower than them - including buses - and then proceed to hold you up. As for roundabouts - hopeless!
Anyway, I must go and take him into work - we'll see what tales he comes back with tonight!
That's how my partner remains sane, stanleyman, he tells me what has happened to him during the day and we have a good laugh. If something happens when we're out together, we laugh out loud.
Here's a good one, last night I drove into Newport to collect him at 12.45am and there, walking up the middle of Carisbrooke High Street was a man, stark naked and spotlit by my full beam!
Isle of Wighter's are quite peculiar, but they do provide some good stories.
I'm very fond of the Island having been going there frequently for 25 years. Sadly, we no longer have any family there as of last year. We had some great times at Springvale where the house overlooked the beach and the Solent. iwbus when you are next on route from Ryde through Springvale perhaps you wouldn't mind giving the old "House" a wave for me, thanks? Start waving at the postbox and stop at the hotel!
