When Jonny Wilkinson put the winning kick over, did play re-start (extra time was being played)?
If so which England player then kicked it out of the ground to seal the win?
Bit of a discussion at the pub last night.

Just watched it on Youtube. It was Mike Catt.
Mike Catt (another Fly Half) on for Mike Tindall (Outside Centre) hoofed it into touch.

Oh wonderful :-) pint owed to me.
Cheers people.
Woodward said afterwoods that Wilkinson did great but it was Catt booting it into the stands that he'll remember most!
Unlike the rest of England, DangerUXD. We had to look it up, because we didn't have a clue who kicked the ball into touch.

Jonny Wilkinson won the World Cup for us, not Mike Catt.
of course chrissa, but Catt made sure the Aussies had no chance to reply. To be fair though any of the England team wold have done the same in that situation, even the props, so it was just that the ball came to Catt. I knew it without looking up becuase after the DG I knew they would kick off so I was shouting at the screen "in the stands!" and I remember the ball came to Catt and wallop!
