generally very good runner. Had RAC out when car failed to start - new battery purchased after RAC tests and all checks were good. An hour later the car would not start, turned over but would not start. Then (both)electronic keys failed to open car. Now cannot do anything. Can open car manually but car does not even turn over when trying to start.

If i was you i would call the RAC back, it seems these days thats the only thing the RAC do is tell you you need a new battery, i've called them back many times and if you kick up a fussthey will send someone with more experiance, because not all of them that work for the RAC know that much
I agree with Willwonker. Tell the RAC they haven't sorted the problem, and it has got worse as a result.

You may have a fault that's draining the battery but not big enough to blow a fuse. The RAC should have checked this but as WW says maybe their man was not skilled or cared.
Had a similar problem on a 51 plate clio 1.2 16v - turned out to be an ecu problem
